Service Description
This procedure is performed by a trained spa professional or licensed to practice esthetics in the State of Utah. The procedure is performed in a safe and precise manner with a single-use sterile needle head. The treatment session usually takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the area(s) being treated. After the procedure, the skin will be red, with mild swelling and/or bruising, and your skin might feel tight and sensitive to the touch. Although these symptoms may take 2-3 days to resolve completely, they will diminish significantly within a few hours after treatment. Microneedling creates controlled wounding to the outermost layer of the skin which stimulates elastin and collagen. Thus, inducing new healthy tissue surrounding the area, rejuvenating skin. Micro-needling has been shown to reduce the visibility of acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, diminish hyperpigmentation, and improve skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin. This treatment can also be paired with chemical peels to speed the process for ultimate results. WHAT TO EXPECT -Day 1: You will feel your face very dry, and stretched. Clean your face as usual. Do not use any acid exfoliants such as masks or cleansers that contain (glycolic, salicylic etc) check your cleanser! You may apply makeup after 24 hours. Apply 30 mineral sunscreen. Make sure to re-apply moisturizer as needed, vitamin E or hyaluronic acid is highly recommended. -Days 2-7 You will notice dryness and some flaking. Remember every skin type is different if you do or do not peel it is ok. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. Keep applying your moisturizer as usual. -After 3-4 weeks, you are ready for your next procedure! While you may see immediate results after the first treatment. You will see significant results 4-6 weeks after your procedure. Your skin is constantly stimulating collagen and elastin production far after your first treatment, it’s an ongoing process.
