Microdermabrasion uses a diamond-encrusted wand (or crystals) to remove superficial layers of the skin in the treated areas. The intensity of the procedure can be adjusted to your desired results and comfort level. Microdermabrasion is often used to treat acne, and reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and other skin conditions. A series of treatments is recommended for maximum results. CONTRA-INDICATIONS Active acne or use of Accutane within (1 year) Active infection of any type (bacterial, viral, or fungal) Blood thinner medications Cardiac disease/abnormalities Chemotherapy or radiation Pregnancy / Lactation Retin A discontinue 7 days prior to treatment Recent use of some topical rx. Cold Sores Sunburn/Compromised skin Waxing Recent chemical peel/microneedling Raised body temperature 2 hours prior/after treatment. Rosacea AFTERCARE Your skin has been freshly exfoliated, avoid sun exposure for 24 hours!
